Technology tool / Marvel app
Description of why I picked it
Marvel is a software that helps people to create wireframes, mockups, website, or app prototypes for any device right from the browser. The software is very useful to people who want to develop a mobile application but don’t have any programming background beforehand. It allows people to turn app idea to a presentable prototype in a very short time, without requiring any coding knowledge. Thus, I think it would be a valuable tool to learn and master.

Reflection of the learning theory
The learning theory I applied to learn the software is constructivism. Constructivism asserts that people actively construct their own knowledge and learning based on personal experiences. At the same time, learners would assign meaning to the new information by linking them to existed knowledge (David, June 2015). With Constructivist approaches, it didn’t take me too long to understand the software. When I tried to figure out how to use Marvel, I compared it to a lot of other software I’ve used before. The biggest ‘ah-ha’ moment was when I connected it to a photo editing software which has many similar features with it. I was able to understand the software much faster and easily due to those shared features.
